Yohan Hàn
Yohan Hàn (b. 1983, France) grew up in the suburbs of Paris within a family of Korean immigrants, where multiple cultural frameworks coexisted. This environment fostered an early awareness of how identities take shape through embodied experience, historical memory, and shifting cultural contexts. Working across installation, performance, sculpture, and object-based media, Hàn explores how different systems of perception intersect through material and performative configurations. Skin functions as a key material and conceptual element in his practice. Through the use of stretched drum skins—materials historically embedded in ritual instruments—he approaches skin as a tactile and resonant surface that mediates between body and world. Drawing on the material and symbolic dimensions of ritual objects and instruments, his work investigates resonance as a way of sensing relational coexistence within an increasingly interconnected cultural and technological landscape.

요한한(1983년 프랑스 출생)은 파리 근교에서 성장하며 다층적인 문화 환경을 경험했다. 이러한 배경은 신체적 경험, 역사적 기억, 그리고 변화하는 문화적 맥락 속에서 정체성이 어떻게 형성되는지를 인식하게 하는 토대가 되었다. 설치, 퍼포먼스, 조각, 미디어 장치와 오브제를 아우르는 그의 작업은 서로 다른 감각과 인식 체계가 만나는 지점에서 발생하는 혼합성에 주목한다. 이 과정에서 ‘피부’는 중요한 물질적·개념적 요소로 등장한다. 작가는 북(鼓)피(皮)를 통해 피부를 몸과 세계 사이를 매개하는 촉각적이고 공명하는 표면으로 다루며, 한때 살아 있던 존재의 흔적을 지닌 물질로서 작업에 드러낸다. 이러한 물질적이고 수행적인 구성 속에서 요한한은 표면과 몸짓, 그리고 공간의 진동이 서로 조율되는 관계적 현상으로서의 공명을 탐구한다. 그의 작업은 문화적·기술적으로 긴밀하게 연결된 동시대 환경 속에서 공존을 감각하고 사유하는 하나의 방식으로 공명을 제안한다.
